CVE-2026-34910

About

A malicious actor with access to the network could exploit an Improper Input Validation vulnerability found in UniFi OS devices to execute a Command Injection.

Weakness (CWE):CWE-20

Rainforest analyst review

A broad range of Ubiquiti UniFi OS devices fail to validate input properly, and the flaw resolves into command injection: an attacker with network access supplies crafted input that the device passes into a shell, executing arbitrary operating-system commands on the appliance. There is no authentication requirement noted — network reach to the device is enough to run commands on it.

The affected list spans UniFi gateways and Dream Machines, Cloud Keys, and network and enterprise video recorders — the routing, controller, and camera backbone of countless home, small-business, and mid-size networks, frequently with management surfaces reachable. Command injection on a gateway means control of the network edge itself, and on a recorder it means the surveillance footage. Update UniFi OS to the fixed firmware promptly, keep device management off the public internet and behind proper segmentation, and treat any unit that was network-exposed as a candidate for inspection rather than assuming the update alone settles it.
